GENERATING SHOWER GEL

The history of liquid soaps and gels only began recently, when the technological and chemical advances of the modern age allowed countless inventors to experiment with more complicated chemical compositions and recipes.

Today you will find all kinds of soaps in every store you enter, even those whose recipes are several thousand years old. If you decide to buy liquid soap, know that they are all modern day products.

Liquid soap

The first appearance of liquid soap took place in the mid-19th century with the exploits of several inventors.

In 1865 William Shepphard patented liquid soap.

Improvement of modern chemistry allowed the creation of shower gel (shower cream, body wash), for cleansing the whole body during the shower.

The main difference between liquid soap and shower gels is that the gels do not contain saponified oil. Because some shower gels can dry out the skin after use, many manufacturers add different hydrations to the recipe. Some use menthol, an ingredient that gives your skin a feeling of coldness and freshness. The majority of shower gels have conditioning agents and are therefore perfectly usable as a soap for both body and hair.
